High School Bowlegs Tournament updates! Boys and Girls are in the winners bracket. They both play Thursday afternoon. Girls play at 3:30 and the Boys play at 5:00.
The Jr. High tournament at Stratford just had a team have to cancel, so the girls game has been bumped up to the 11:20 game. The boys are still scheduled for 2:00. If this changes, I will update. Thank you for your support in all things Maud.

Because of an increase in the potential of exposure to the Covid virus, Maud School will begin the 2nd semester on January 4th remotely. All students will complete lessons on our Google classroom platform. We will be monitoring the number of cases to determine when we will return to in person learning. Basketball updates! Due to the governors mandate, we will be issuing four tickets to each player to get into the gym for ballgames. You must also have a mask and temperature check upon entering. I have confirmed ballgames with Bowlegs on Tuesday night and at Maysville on Thursday night. Maysville will send tickets to give to the players. Boys play Friday at 4:30

The Girls basketball game tonight at Indianola has been moved up to 5:30.

Due to an increase in COVID cases involving our staff and an increase in absences within our district, we will transition to distance learning effective immediately. All students will access lessons and communicate with their teacher(s) through Google Classroom. Wednesday meals will be available for pick-up at the cafeteria, 12:00 to 1:00. Thank you for your understanding and partnership with us as we take the necessary steps to protect our school community. The situation is being closely monitored and we will keep you informed of any changes. At this time, in person learning is scheduled to resume January 4, 2021.

We have scheduled a HS Basketball Game with Life Christian for this Friday the 4th. It will be a home game with girls starting at 6:00.

The Jr High Basketball games tonight with Wetumka have been cancelled. In its place will be a Macomb JH Girls and a Macomb HS Girls teams. This Fridays HS games against Wetumka have been cancelled. Thank you for your patience as we continue to juggle our schedule due to COVID.

Maud Elementary School is having a non-perishable food drive starting tomorrow, December 1, 2020 and ending on Friday, December 11, 2020. We will be making Christmas food boxes for members of our community. Each class is having a race to see which class can bring the most items. The class who brings the most items will win a pizza party on December 17, 2020. Thank you in advance for your help.

Reminders, today is picture retake day. Jr. High Basketball game today at Bowlegs 4:30. The Jr High ballgame for Thursday night here versus Macomb has been cancelled.

We will be sending home student pictures today. The school photographer will be in the Elementary at 8:00 a.m. for picture retakes tomorrow, November 17, 2020. We just received the pictures today, and since retakes are tomorrow, we apology for the lateness and any inconvenience this may cause.

Maud Public School will be closed Monday, November 9, 2020 in observance of Veterans Day. School will resume at regular time on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

If you are a veteran, either active duty, retired, reserve or national guard, The OSSAA would like to invite you to attend the first round of the football playoffs for free next weekend! That’s right, all veterans and one guest will be admitted free of charge on Friday November 13th to all OSSAA first round football games. The OSSAA appreciates the sacrifices of all veterans, and hopes you will take advantage of this opportunity. Simply show your Military ID card, or driver’s license that shows your military status at the gate next Friday, and you and a guest will be omitted free of charge. Just a reminder that the $100 down payment on the letter jackets is due on Friday the 6th by 12:00.

Maud school will have distance learning on Wednesday October 28.

Due to the chance of freezing rain and possible icy road conditions, Maud Schools will have a distance learning day tomorrow October, 27. There will not be in person teaching and learning. Teachers will have assignments posted for students to complete.

Senior Pictures have been moved to Monday the 26th.

Reminder that Senior Pictures are Thursday the 22nd at noon here at the HS.
We will be fitting for letter jackets on the 29th, Jackets are $190 with a $100 down payment.

This is a reminder that Distance Learning Fridays start Oct. 2nd. Your child's teacher will have assignments/lessons to be completed. Meals will be available for pick-up upon request. Please contact your child's building secretary before the end of the day Wednesday to provide a head count for needed number of meals.

We are writing to let you know about an important resource to help families during the pandemic.
If your child was eating free or reduced-price lunch school lunch in March 2020, you are eligible for
food purchasing assistance of $250 per eligible child!
The Oklahoma Department of Human Services will be sending Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer
benefits, or P-EBT, to eligible families – you do not need to apply. If you already have an EBT card the
benefits will be loaded on your existing card. If you do not currently have an EBT card, please look out
for a P-EBT card in the mail.
Watch closely as the outside envelope may not clearly say P-EBT.
P-EBT is provided to any child who was receiving free or reduced-price school lunch in March 2020.
It will not impact your citizenship or immigration status.

The number of positive Covid cases in Pottawatomie County have increased significantly due to results from a correctional facility. Maud Schools, in collaboration with health officials, does not feel that any changes to our school protocol are necessary at this time.

Maud softballs senior night recognition has been moved to tonight’s home game against Stratford. The recognition will begin at 5:30.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF 6TH-12TH GRADE STUDENTS: We are accepting new students into the FOCUS Program through Seminole State College! Our program is a grant program from the US Dept of Education designed to help students prepare for and enroll in college or other post-secondary options. Our services are at your child's school and virtually (see link below for more info). We serve the following schools (whether your child will be online or in-person): Seminole, Varnum, Wewoka, Bowlegs, Butner, Justice, New Lima, Paden, Sasakwa, Strother, Shawnee, Tecumseh, Earlsboro, Maud, McLoud, and Macomb. As supplies last, we will be mailing this snack box and a STEM activity to applicants. Mandatory Maud Softball Meeting

Summer Learning began this year on May 1 and runs through August 15, with a variety of ways to participate both virtually and from home. This year's Summer Learning Challenge - accessible here - rewards readers for time spent reading either a physical book or through the library's downloadable collection. But as with last year's Challenge, taking part in a variety of activities also will count toward a person's summer goal. There is a wide selection of virtual programs and activities on the PLS YouTube Channel which participants can log and count toward their goal. While individual libraries will not be able to present kickoff events at their locations, each library will be represented with a special Summer Learning Challenge Kickoff Week, scheduled from May 26 through May 31. Each day, two libraries will be represented with virtual kickoff programs offered through the PLS Facebook page. More information can be found on thePLS website’s home page.

Due to inclement weather, the Maud graduation parade has been postponed until Monday May 18th @ 7:00 pm.

Parents thank you so much for working with your children's teacher and your children with distance learning. The final packet will be available on Monday, April 27th, from 10:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at the elementary building. Maud School misses our Tigers!

Graduation will be on the 15th of May at 7:00pm. It will be a parade that starts at the administration building and ends at the HS. Seniors please check your emails for further details.

Parents and students, on Monday April 27 from 9-1, we will let students in the MS and HS buildings one at a time to pick up personal belongings. This is only to collect personal items, the restrooms will be closed and it is not locker clean out day. Thank you for your cooperation and please stay safe, thank you.

As a reminder, week three assignments were provided last week with week two. Therefore, there will be no packets today.

The 2nd student learning packets will be ready for pickup tomorrow April 13 at the elementary cafeteria from 10 am to 12 pm.

The regular board meeting scheduled for April 14, 2020 has been cancelled. A special virtual-physical meeting will be held on April 13, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. The physical location will be the Maud Administration building.

All meals will be delivered, or picked up at Maud Elementary School, ONLY on MONDAYS (for two days) & WEDNESDAYS (for three days) between 10:00 - noon.

Out of abundance of concern. Maud Public School will be closed on Friday, March 13. In addition, all extra-curricular activities have been cancelled. It is important to note there are no confirmed cases of the COVID-19 VIRUS at Maud Public School.

DATE CHANGE: A meeting with parents of high school/middle school athletes, and coaches, has been scheduled for TUESDAY, February 25 2020 at 6:30 PM at the elementary cafeteria to discuss and plan the upcoming sports banquet and other items.
